Greetings to all,
This is a new blog designed to be a forum for me to post the (mis?)adventures encountered while two wheeling it through the various parts of the country.
What you can expect to find within this blog as time rolls on are ride reports, photos, video (possibly), and general rants and props centered around the activity most sacred to me...solo road trips on my motorcycle. I ride a 2004 BMW R1100S which I have lovingly named "Temptress". Once you get a bit more familiar with me, you will understand why she is aptly named thus.
And now for a little on the name Playlist Pilot...
I have chosen the name Playlist Pilot because each ride will be centered around a compiled playlist. The images I take and the situations I subsequently place myself in shall be an effort to convey a theme in accord with each song on the playlist for the ride. For those of you wondering, I do NOT compile the playlist myself, I accept submissions from friends, family, etc as the playlist entries.
My intent is to provide an area I will be riding to, posting it on my Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001212292819) and to this blog. As the songs roll in, I will add them to the playlist.
Disclaimer: Playlist Pilot will do almost anything to get the shot! Areas regarding public nudity, eminent and life threatening danger (aka task of certain death or dismemberment), etc...will not be accepted as submissions (for health reasons obviously). This is not to say there will not be craziness or moderate to extreme immaturity involved, merely that I don't want to die from this little game. :)
My inaugural ride is from Coffeyville Kansas to Mt Evans Colorado from July 2nd - 4th. Based on the current playlist entries, I will also have to travel to a major city with an irish pub and other social attractions to be able to acquire the needed shots...Let the Games Begin!!!
